For an element of animation within my documentary, I hope to use the projector and laser cutting, combined.
I recently visited the Tate Modern gallery in London, it was impressive, strange and stupid.
However, I came across a video as part of the Poetry and Dream section (though for the life of me I can't find it online... assumed I could get it from website when home- can't!) and it really grabbed my attention.
The video followed a dark narrative, depicting stalking/child abuse and used paper silhouettes to cast shadows on black and white backgrounds.
The video gave me the idea to combine laser cutting and projection mapping, using a static (or moving) image projected onto the wall, I plan to cut figures and silhouettes to see what type of effect can be created and how it will affect an audience.
The media test would require an atmospheric image/shot to create tension (initially for replicating the video I watched).
I have chosen this image of the garden covered in snow and have added some effects to it.
I will post the results asap.
