By changing the opacity in the layers, a softer look was achieved. Immediately this was more aesthetically pleasing than the harsh split screen.

I used masks and sharp angles to reflect the bokeh stars used from the city shots. The sharp angles  don't work with the footage and once again the clip doesn't feel right. The contrasting clips side by side look forced and depressing.

The aim is to try and blend the clips more to give a flowing, peaceful feel, while creating a subtle thought noticeable juxtaposition.
