As the lovely Scottish weather is far from lovely, I was attempting to project clouds on the background. What I discovered is it creates a scene from a kids horror movie.
However, I liked the way the subtle texture casts a shadow on the background, giving the idea that there are more buildings and the uplight makes them look slightly menacing. Although not the outcome I was looking for, throughout this documentary there will be contradictions.
No ideal will be portrayed as 'right'. Therefore I would like to make the city and Lotte's area seem both menacing and beautiful- because they are. It's down to the audience what they deem preferable.
