I have been working with lighting and trying to create different atmospheres and themes with the little town. I think this is important to convey different emotions as it's something that will hopefully be referred to at various points throughout the documentary.
This is a few pics of the set up and various angles. I like the various colours, created by using coloured acetate, candles and bike lights, along with projecting a clip of a window view onto a city which had already been projected.
The colours seem to inject life into the set and create a feel of fun and excitement. I think the yellow and orange acetate also helps portray the look of streetlights on dark streets.
I think the projection works having been projected twice, as theres a unique grainy look to it which makes it feel old and gives a different texture to the paper buildings below.
