Travel Juxtaposition

Within this clip, I was hoping to create a quick, harsh juxtaposition to demonstrate the differences between rural and city life.

In the first shot it is travelling by car through the country, and on the other it's travelling by train through the city.

I like the contrast, the flowing hills and grass of the highlands looks soft and comforting, and the city in comparison is rigid and square, and looks quite hostile.

I like the idea of a straight cut with no transitions, as it make the change have more of a sudden impact and throws the viewer into different scene.

 

I had tried to take both shots to allow an equal amount of sky in each to make a smoother transition, though I think I got it off slightly. The main issue is down to a different lens used.
