I have been trying to construct visual metaphors to allow the visuals to spark thought and debate within the audience.
Earlier this week I attempted to project a rural landscape onto my window. I chose this as I live on a busy street in the city and it would be an interesting juxtaposition to allow the viewer to determine which visual they prefer.
Some problems I had were, I was shooting on my mobile phone due to my camera being broken, I was also shooting late at night and there was little traffic on the roads, and finally, the streetlights were too bright to allow the projection to be seen on the window.
I like the idea and think it could work visually and be quite an interesting composition. As I have highlighted all of the problems, I am now working on rectifying these and hopefully I can get it looking as I hoped as soon as possible.
A room with a darker exterior would mean a more rural area. All other ideas (such as project onto car or wall beside a busy road) require a generator and other equipment I don't have access to.
I will hopefully get a new camera over the next few weeks and can get started again taking more detailed shots.
