I decided to try to laser cut a small set. As a trial run, I used some of my own work I've laser cut to make jewellery (though it has a theme so could use for a trial)
I like the idea of having control of the lighting, however, I don't have small enough lights to be intricate enough lights I own are too powerful.
I done the best I could with the lighting I had and I think if it was shot on a flat, smooth surface (not my old woodchip wall!) it could have a nice effect.
The objects used would have to be related to the subject. I have been brain-storming ideas, and will laser cut a small, appropriate set asap.
I also cut out a city scene for the doc, however, it didn't work and wasn't recognisable as a city scene.
