The feedback I received from my pitch presentation was constructive. I was informed I was taking the project on the right path and not constricting myself to previous documentary structures and methods.
I was asked about the metanarrative aspect of the project and discussed how I planned to take the documentary on a more non-liner narrative path. I explained how I had made the decision to take the project on this non-liner path, as I felt cornering the story of Lotte into a preconceived, and therefore restricting storyline does not fit the personality of her character and I felt it would be much more suited to a fragmented, more experimental approach. My aim it to create a piece where the audience is introduced to the character and made to think through the stories and visuals provided.
I will work on these pieces and plan to introduce more audio from my interviews into the clips for the next presentation.
